The Bee Kingdom is
Ryan Marsh Fairweather, Timothy Belliveau and Phillip Bandura
Nadania Idriss New Glass Art & Photography is pleased to bring the works of the Calgary group of studio glass artists to Berlin, otherwise known as The Bee Kingdom. Born and raised in varying parts of the world, Ryan Marsh Fairweather, Phillip Bandura and Timothy Belliveau met in 2002 at the Alberta College of Art and Design. They established the artist collective following their graduation and have since become internationally recognized for the quality of their work, as well as their civic involvement in support of the arts and environmental issues.
The artists live together in Calgary, in a house that has been modified into a studio, a hot-shop, and home. Money earned is pooled together to keep the furnace burning in this contemporary version of a commune. As a team of artists, The Bee Kingdom is quickly gaining a widespread reputation for their talent as studio glass artists.
